Confident: BlackBerry Q10 ( BBQ10 ) Comes to The US Some Time In Quarter 2

On the back of the alleged UK success of Blackberry Z10, Blackberry enthusiasts far and wide have been wondering how soon after will the new Blackberry Q10 ( BBQ10 ) arrive. Well waiting buyers in the United States now has an idea as to how soon they can put their hands on one (or two) of these new BlackBerry 10 handsets.

It is now known that the Blackberry Z10 will reach US shores by March and to make it even more interesting, the QWERTY Blackberry Q10 will make its states debut in Quarter 2 of 2013. Tjorsten Heins, CEO of BlackBerry made it clear that the Q10 is not likely to ship to the States until approximately 10 weeks after the Z10 launches, which leads us to a quarter two debut.

Powered by Blackberry’s (formally RIM) new BlackBerry 10 OS, the Blackberry Q10 shows off a dual core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of built in storage, a shiny 3.1 inch AMOLED display which features a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels and a wider QWERTY keyboard with broader keys. On the front of this sexy device is a 2 megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom and the ability to record HD video in 720p, while on the back sits an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 5x digital zoom and full HD video recording in 1080p.

So far there is no information as to the US cost of these devices or an exact date of their arrival, keep in touch for the latest Blackberry 10 update.

My Rant

It’s human nature for us to love a Cinderella story, “hoping that Blackberry will rise from the dirt and once again be the smartphone giant they once were.” It’s in no way an easy thing to do, things may be looking good so far ( great UK debut and all) but the harsh reality of life may hit as soon as the Blackberry 10 Smartphones goe worldwide. One has to remember that at the head of the pyramid sits the mighty Samsung and Apple, who have no intention to budge, as a matter of fact the two are so focused on ways to out-do each other, they find themselves always a step ahead of the rest of the pack. To be honest, I do hope Blackberry 10 does well, but complacency has no place in this game son. What are your thoughts?

  1. I am for ever (what I call) a Black-Berrian! I’ve been almost tempted to jump ship, however, I’m sure things are on the horizon for a great stand against tough competition. I’m not going anywhere, unless the company just up & folds.

  2. Yes. They are top of the a quickly changing game. Bb was hot in 2008. Iphone really broke barries with os, apps, camera, processor and ram. However, cellphone tech has platoude and it is becoming about marketing to different consumer groups. No phone is perfect. Iphone has become boring over the years and android is glitchy, needs task managers and battery pulls. Bbs are tough as nails, have apps (some…more will come), camera is at least on par with android and the navigation and intuitiveness a step in front of ios. The updates to come will make it even better as second gen products tend to be the greatest improvement on the life cycle. Plus they have become essentially the only top of the line smartphone with a key board and bbm is still the top instant messenger. Just wait until people start joining and more will come. Regards
